Old Wesley 23 Wanderers 18

In the first round of the D2a2b Cup a depleted Old Wesley side did enough to beat Wanderers at Donnybrook and advance to the next round. Wanderers took the early points and led 10-3 after 20 minutes.  However Old Wesley, missing all but 4 of their first choice players, recovered with 3 tries to take the honours. The try scorers were Wesley Deverell (2) and Josh Hinde video below.  Deverell’s second try was a near carbon copy of Tommy Bowe’s intercept try against Australia. Old Wesley face Tullamore in the next round.
