Old Wesley has two grounds in Dublin with its headquarters, senior pitches and clubhouse in Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Its junior pitches are located at Ballycorus, County Dublin.

We have a fabulous new Head Quarters pavilion at Donnybrook. This facility comprises four modern changing rooms and associated medical, physio and shower facilities, together with extended function and meeting rooms on the 1st floor.  There is also a traditional members’ bar downstairs.

Rules for Playing on the new pitches in Donnybrook

With the arrival of the two new 4G pitches in Donnybrook it means we will be playing on the most advanced playing surface in Ireland. In order to protect the new pitch and for the hygiene of everyone playing on it the following rules must be adhered to by all those playing and coaching on the new pitch.

§  Players must use ‘detox’ grill to clean boots before going on to pitch (it is at entrance gate)

§  If  a ball is kicked outside all weather pitch area – if it needs to be cleaned use a towel just like if it was a wet ball

§  Pitch surface needs to be kept as a clean surface all the time

§  Spectators must keep behind the fence

§  Note for Coaches / Subs / Managers etc. NO RUNNERS

§  Real challenge will be Mini / Youths arriving in numbers going forward – team coaches / managers / parents etc. must realise you can’t jump out of the car and on to the pitch unless all guidelines are followed

§  No jumping over the fence to get on to the pitch – you must enter through a gate and ‘detox’ grill

No food or drink allowed inside the pitch area

No smoking inside the pitch area

The crucial and most important  issue is that if we don’t follow the set out guidelines, the warranties and guarantees on the pitch will be invalidated. A log is required to be kept regarding how the pitch is managed and operated, so again if we have a problem going forward which we hope we won’t the log will be inspected.

We thank you in advance for your co-operation
